  3. Nominate three new bloggers each day.

Quote 3: from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling

Some (spoiler-free) context: in the last book in the HP series, Harry has been having a slightly unusual conversation with Dumbledore, who says this:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows quote

This is one of the lines from the Harry Potter series which has stuck with me.

Nominations/tags:

  1. Love and Other Bookish Things
  2. Nola at Bookfuls
  3. Abby at The Bookish Barrister

If you’ve already been tagged, please ignore me and link me to your posts so I can check them out!

3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge: Day 2

Thank you again to Ashley at Dear World for tagging me to do the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge/Book Tag!

The Rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
  3. Nominate three new bloggers each day.

Quote 2: from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Some context: Lady Catherine has rudely butted into Colonel Fitzwilliam’s conversation, demanding to know what he’s talking about. He replies, “Music”, leading her to comment:

This is one of the best quotes to demonstrate the genius of Austen’s style. She lets Lady Catherine reveal how vain and pompous she is through what she says, rather than by the narrator telling us.

Nominations/tags: I’m going to nominate 3 bloggers tomorrow on day 3, rather than 3 a day. I’ve come quite late to this tag and everyone else has already done it!

Last quote and nominations tomorrow 🙂

Quote 1: from Matilda by Roald Dahl (illustrations by the equally marvellous Quentin Blake)

This is one of my all-time favourite books and an essential for anyone who loves reading. I’d still love to be able to move things using my mind – it would come in handy, especially now I have a toddler 😉

As for tagging other bloggers – I’ve decided to nominate 3 bloggers on day 3, rather than 3 a day. So many bloggers I know have already done this challenge…

More tomorrow 🙂
