About me

Author photo December 2020_3by2

My name’s Claire Huston (pronounced as in “Houston, we have a problem”).

I write uplifting modern love stories about characters who are meant for each other but sometimes need a little help to realise it. You can read more about that in My Books (or head straight over to Amazon to buy them now!).

I live in the Midlands, UK, with my husband and two children. I work as a Spanish-English translator and when I’m not struggling to write, I try to read, bake, and generally keep chaos at bay.

I’m a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association New Writers’ Scheme.

  8. Thank you so much for visiting my page, I love your blog so much! I too am a wife, a mother of a two year old son (and a 11month old!) and also love to read and bake… Seriously, this is all I do! Can’t wait to read more from you. Also I am going to go follow you on Twitter!

    • Thank you! I read, bake and squeeze in a bit of writing… oh, and housework, but that’s about it! I think the baking is my highlight. I just love going out and coming home to find the house smells of cake πŸ™‚
I’ve just sent a request to follow you back on Twitter!

      • We are practically identical aside from the fact that I am not a writer, the only thing I write are my reviews. Baking has become a real passion of mine and my husband loves it! I am very much a typical house wife (with study on the side) in that sense… I look after the home, be the most caring and loving wife I can be, look after my beautiful children and run to the shop (daily!) to pick up cake books, books and ingredients. And to be honest I love it.

  9. Hi, Claire. After reading one of your replies to one of Sarina’s recent posts on Cookie Break, the one about how much difficulty you’re having with the beginning of your manuscript, I just wanted to offer that if you’d like to run your first 2-3 pages past me (as a beta reader), I’d be glad to take a look at them for you. I’m no expert, in any sense of the word, but when editing, my OCD tends to catch things pretty well. If you want to take my offer, feel free to click Contact over on my blog.

Anyway, whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck. πŸ™‚
